WILMINGTON - Muriel T. (Santarlasci) Bristol, age 89, beloved wife of the late Walter J. Bristol, Sr., died peacefully the morning of April 16, at home with her loving family nearby.

She was born in Somerville, February 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Vincent and Madeline (Browning Hart) Santarlasci. After her marriage in 1948, she lived in Medford, and then moved to Wilmington in 1955.

Muriel worked as a group leader in the microelectronics department of Raytheon-Andover, where she was employed for many years. She also sang in St. Dorothy's church choir and enjoyed musical theater. Later in life though, her true passion was her family. She was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother, and spent every moment she could doting upon her grandchildren, and more recently her great-grandchildren. There was nothing in this world that made Muriel happier than being with them, chasing them around, playing hide-and-seek, making them snacks, and wrapping them in a large cloak of love and care.

She is survived by her two children, Walter Bristol, Jr., and his wife Marjorie of Wilmington and Cathy Spinney of Pelham, NH; a brother Leo Santarlasci of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Jason Bristol and Carolyn Latham of Billerica, Kelly Spinney of Pelham, NH, Dan Spinney of Pelham, NH and Brian and wife Tiffany Spinney of Derry, NH; five great-grandchildren, Liz Tanner, Emily Bristol and Hannah Bristol, all of Billerica, Brison Spinney and Caleb Baronet, both of Derry, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Muriel is predeceased by her two brothers, Al Santarlasci and Bill Santarlasci, as well as her sister Margaret Smith.

BRISTOL - Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Dorothy's Church, 11 Harnden St., Wilmington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
