obituary - William H. West - January 8, 1932 - November 28, 2000. Bill was born in Pontiac, MI. the son of the late John and Idella (Schiller) West and attended schools in Pontiac. On May 26, 1951 he married the former Clara R. Spencer in Twining, MI. Bill was employed at GMC Truck and Coach in Pontiac for several years and moved to Gould City, MI in 1989. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement. Bill is survived by his wife Clara, son William and his wife Deborah, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brothers Edgar, Alvin, and Fred, sisters Edna, Ethel and Della, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Kenneth and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at the Newton Township Hall in Gould City, MI, on December 2, 2000 with the Reverend Pamela Fulton officiating. Burial followed at the Newton Township Cemetery. (Gould Cith Twp. Cemetery ?) Arrangements were handled by the Messier-broullire Funeral Home of Manistique, MI.
