Betty L. Rooks, 87, of Springfield, passed away April 15, 2018. She was born May 20, 1930 in Springfield to Tony and Mary (Zuchowski) Petsche. She married Samuel Rooks on March 26, 1965, who preceded her in death in 2011.

Betty is also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Riley.

She is survived by her children; Cynthia Smith of Springfield, Greg Cimarossa of New Berlin, Steve (June) Cimarossa of AZ, and stepson Richard (Susan) Rooks of FL. Betty is also survived by a sister, Joan (Norm) Forbes of CO, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom filled her heart and her kitchen.

Before retiring, Betty served as General Manager at Lake Lanier Islands houseboat rental office in Georgia; she loved the water and the boats, but most of all the people. Betty was steadfast in her faith and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She brought love and comfort to all who knew her and she'll be sorely missed.

Private services will be held.
