Liberty Nicole Bell, 15, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Liberty proved her grace and strength by fighting a rare childhood cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma, after being diagnosed on February 28, 2017.

Born on April 25, 2002 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Sarah (Reed) Daniels and Wesley Bell. Liberty was a freshman at McCutcheon High School.

She enjoyed cheerleading, floating, bonfires, sunsets and just being with family and friends. She was also a member of Old Fashioned United Baptist Church in Independence, Indiana.

Liberty was a great artist. She was always happy and tried to make others laugh. She enjoyed being around babies and small children. She was selfless and always put others first. Liberty’s smile and sassiness made an impression on everyone.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather; father and stepmother; two sisters; two brothers; three stepsiblings; grandparents; three uncles; two aunts; and numerous cousins and second cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 9 pm, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10 am, Friday, April 20, 2018 with Brother Henry Bell Jr officiating. Burial to follow in Spring Vale Cemetery.
