Married
The marriage of Charles H. Lewis to Miss Nettie H. Kephart at the home of the parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lewis, near Sauk Centre at 8 o'clock on Wednesday evening of last week was the event of the season. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. B. F. Kephart of Minneapolis, father of the bride. The attendants were Miss Josephine H. Kephart of Minneapolis, the bride's sister, and Horace F. Alden, a prominent young business man of Sauk Centre. There were about seventy guests present- Among those from Sauk Centre were Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Stiles, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Greene, Mr. and Mrs. L. S and H. W. Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. H. Parker, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Parker, Mr. H. S. Gibson, Wm. Scherffius, A. Erwin, W. S. Dean, Mrs. J. C. Parker, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ward, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Richards and Mr. and Mrs- W. O. P. Hilsdale and others. From Long Prairie were Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Van Dyke, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Kenegy, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Butler, Mr. N. C. Clemmenson, Mrs. Hasson and Miss Agnes Maynard. Miss Maynard played the wedding march. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis were the recipients of many valuable presents from friends in this and other states.
After the ceremony a sumptuous wedding supper was served, and until the departure of most of the guests at a late hour the time was pleasantly spent with music and conversation. The bride and groom left on the 3 a.m. train for Minneapolis where they will spend a few days with the parents of the bride at Richfield, Rev. Mr. Kephart being pastor of the M. E. church at that place, and where a reception was tendered them on Friday evening of last week. The best wishes of many friends follow them.
