Florence Elaine Blomberg Beloved mother and grandmother died March 26, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by her children and loved ones in Poulsbo, WA at her daughter Jacqueline's home where she had resided the past year.

Florence was born April 12th,1944 to Floyd Elmo and Elva "Tiny" Young in Bremerton, Washington. She had 9 siblings- 4 brothers and 5 sisters. She enjoyed swimming and playing with her siblings as a child. Her and her sisters played a lot in the woods like hide and go seek, building forts and making rafts in their creek. Her mother died when she 11 years old and the older girls had to raise their 3 baby brothers while their father worked.

Florence met Carl "Ernie" Blomberg at a young age and when he came back from the Korean war they fell in love and married on October 17, 1964. They loved fishing and taking road trips together. Our mom enjoyed taking us kids with her everywhere and spending time at the park playing with us or going to the ocean.

Florence was preceded in death 6 months ago by Carl of 53 years. Together they raised 5 children in Port Orchard, WA. Florence is survived by sisters Margie (Ralph) Winters of Arizona, Delores (Ben) Woods of Tennessee, brother John Young of California, brother Gary (Beth) Young of Washington. Survivors include her two daughters, Stephanie(Don) Herrmann of Tacoma, WA and Jacqueline (John) Lizon of Poulsbo, WA. Three sons David (Julia) Blomberg of Puyallup, WA, Darryl (April) Blomberg of Lakewood, WA and Joshua (Kristina)Blomberg of Puyallup, WA. Florence had 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and another baby boy due in September.

Florence enjoyed church, gospel music, spending time with family and friends. She also loved bingo, thrift shopping and garage sales. Two days before our wonderful mother passed away, she was awake and able to enjoy an early birthday party surrounded by all her loved ones and her beloved children. Her last bite of food was even a bit of her chocolate birthday cake.

Mom finally is able to run and play again without the confines of a tired body. She was so excited at the thought of seeing her mother and our father again. We love and miss you mom and Dad, tell him we love him. Until we meet again.

Sadly missed along life's way.
Quietly remembered everyday. No longer in my
life to share; but in my heart, you are always there.
