Son of Lorenzo Dow Moger and Martha Elizabeth Johnson, husband of Marguerite Agnes Neale, whom he married on June 19, 1936 in Bealeton, Virginia, and father of Alice Neale Moger (married Arthur Francis Marotti), and Susan Esther Moger (married James Sewell Stokes, IV).

In 1910, Allen Moger, aged 4, was living in Chuckatuck, Nansemond, Virginia, in the home of his parents, Lorenzo D. Moger, aged 61, and Martha Moger, aged 39, with siblings, R.L. Moger, aged 18, Henry V. Moger, aged 15, Minnie L. Moger, aged 14, Esther Moger, aged 12, Mary Helen Moger, aged 10, Anstace Moger, aged 8, and Martha E. Moger, aged 3.
