BLACKFOOT--Lawrence Earl "Pete" COUMERILH, 64, retired rancher and a life-time resident of the Blackfoot area, died Wednesday at a Salt Lake City, Utah hopital following open-heart surgery two weeks ago.
Mr. Coumerilh was born August 13, 1910 at Tilden, now known as Springfield, the son of John H and Lois Hunt Coumerilh.
He married Edith Cole on June 8, 1933, in Idaho Falls. He ranched in the Grays Lake area until he was forced to retire in 1971 because of a heart ailment. He was a former member of the B. P. O. E.
He is survived by his wife, Edith, one son J. E. Coumerilh, Portland; one daughter Mrs. Lois Smith, Pocatello; two granddaughters and one grandson, Terrie Lynne Smith of Pocatello; Sherri Ann and Scott J. Coumerilh, both of Portland; a sister, Mrs. Opal Poehner, Blackfoot and two stepbrothers, Donald Bigler and Earl Bigler, both of Balckfoot.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joseph.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sandberg-Hill Funeral Chapel by the Reverend William Lineberry. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
