Miss Helen Margaret Abbick, 26, passed away Thursday at St. Margaret's Hospital of burns suffered on September 17th in the kitchen of her home at 200 South Mill in Kansas City, Kansas, when an apron she was using to hold a hot pan caught fire. The flames spread to her clothing and burned her before her father, John C. Abbick, was able to smother the flames with his hands.

Helen was survived by her parents; four sisters, Sister M. Philomena and Sister Rose Mary of the Mother House of St. Cyril and Methodius in Danville, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Joseph Troupe of the home and Mrs. Vera Deck of St. Louis; and two brothers, the Rev. John F. Abbick S.J. Marquette University in Milwaukee and Charles Abbick of the home.

Services were held on Saturday morning at the Butler Chapel, followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
