Patricia Louise Moose Melton also known to her friends as Pat and as Memaw to her family was 88 when she went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Aventura Hospital in Florida.

Patricia was born November 4, 1929 in Concord North Carolina to the late James Luther Moose and Louise Virginia Harwood Moose. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Gerald Melton also known as Gerry or Papa. They shared over 40 years of marriage.

Pat attended Lenoir Rhyne college in Hickory North Carolina. She was a homemaker as well as an employee of Merchants Green Stamp. In 1954 once their only child Roberts was born, Harvey and Pat moved to South Florida. They attended North Miami Presbyterian Church where she taught children's Sunday School classes. She was currently a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Hoywood where is she was a part of the women's circles.

She enjoyed going on walks, reading, knitting watching the Bold and the Beautiful and gardening. She would visit her family home in Concord for a few months at a time twice a year and met up with her High School classmate for reunions. She was a breast cancer survivor who then began her battle with chronic leukemia.

She is survived by her son Roberts Hunter Melton his wife Kathy, grandchildren Sarah Menendez her husband Jose, Roberts Melton Jr, and Kerri Melton-St.Vil, and her great-grandchildren Alexander and Nicholas Menendez.

She will be remembered for her quiet personality, having more ice in her cup then drink, as well as collecting butterflies items and her love for everything pink.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.
2nd Timothy 4:7-8

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. 1st Thessalonians 4 13-14
