Services for Mrs. Bean will be 11 AM Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be after noon Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bean, 74, of Red Boiling Springs, died Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Macon County Hospital in Lafayette. The Wilson County native was born November 21, 1929 to the late Aaron and Bonnie Lou Vantrease Climer. She was a retired quality controller for Robert Shaw in Lebanon and a member of Hermitage Springs Church of Christ. On April 29, 1987 she married C. H. "Red" Bean.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard L. Edwards; granddaughter, Cathy Emmert; and two sisters, Polly McIntyre and Clara Wilson. Survivors include her husband, C. H. "Red" Bean of Red Boiling Springs; daughter Brenda (Bill) Emmert of Lebanon; son, Wayne (Cora) Edwards of Daytona, Florida; stepdaughter, Peggy Bean of Dickson; two stepsons, Terry and Mark Bean, both of Dickson; two sisters, Evelyn Lancaster and Lois Shafer, both of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Eric Emmert, Michelle Walker and Teresa Edwards; five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Dalton and Madison Walker and Melissa and Ashley Edwards; and friend, Lois Moody. Pallbearers will be Bobby Crook, Charles Vantrease, Dan Shafer, A. E. Lancaster and Bill and Eric Emmert.
