Mary Ann and Andrew Brown Johns were married 1 Jan. 1853, in Warren County, Iowa. The last time Mary saw her parents was the night they stayed with Mary and her family before her parents and other members of her family left for California. That was 13 May 1862. Mary Ann died 8 months later on 28 Jan. 1863.
