The wife of the late R. Alan Ayars, who passed away in 2012, Mrs. Ayars was born in Bridgeton on February 6, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick Kienzle and the late Helen Hickman Kienzle. She was a lifelong resident of the Bridgeton area; having lived on Hampton Street for several years before relocating to Stow Creek Township in 1977. For the past five years she lived at Upper Deerfield Estates. Mrs. Ayars had been the church secretary at the Berean Baptist Temple in Bridgeton for 11 years and was also employed by the former JC Penney Store in Bridgeton for 16 years. She was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. A longtime member of the Berean Baptist Temple, she enjoyed attending classes at the Hopewell Senior Center. Her hobbies included knitting, quilting, crocheting and tatting.
She is survived by four children: Alan W. Ayars of Millville, Daniel K. Ayars and his wife Jody of Crossville, TN, Patty J. Ghedine and her husband Ray of Ormond Beach, FL and Richard M. Ayars and his wife Joy of Jonesborough, TN, seven grandchildren, Daniel K, Ayars Jr. (Ikumi), Laurie Parker (Matt), Mark Ayars, (Crystal), Christina Sprague (Josh), Richard A. Ayars, Kenny Williams (Amy) and Candice Sheldon (Ed) and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Richard Kienzle and his wife Betty of Fairton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton on Friday afternoon April 13th from 1 until 2. A graveside service will follow at Overlook Cemetery, Greenwich Road, Bridgeton at 2:15. Rev. Kenneth J.
