Derick L. Hornaday, 27, a life time Rushville resident, passed away April 11, 2018 in Indianapolis. Derick was born July 1, 1990 in Muncie to Eric and Theresa (Massengill) Hornaday. Derick was a 2010 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School where he was a R-year varsity letterman in golf.
Derick was passionate about golf from the age of three. His freshman year he had a hole-in-one on #2 and he won the Richmond Invitational his sophomore year.
He had worked at Hoosier Pallet Company in Milroy the last two years.
Survivors include his mother, Theresa Hornaday; his fiance', Leah Worley; his grandparents, Terry and Brenda Hornaday and Charlie and DeMaris Goddard; a brother, Bryant Roberts; and an uncle, Tracy Hornaday all of Rushville.
Derek was preceded in death by his dad, Eric Hornaday and his grandmother, Diane Goddard.
Burial at Little Blue River Cemetery.
