Larry was born on February 14, 1941, in Temple, Maine, the son of Lawrence and Lillian (Pressey) Sweatt Sr. He attended Farmington High School and married Sharon Kimball on November 14, 1959. They shared 58 years of marriage.
Larry worked at Northeast Shoe for about ten years. He retired from H.E. Sargent after working construction and driving truck for over twenty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. One of his favorite places to visit was Hawaii and he and Sharon made five special trips there. He was a strong man, an excellent wood worker and took great pride in his home. He was a super grandfather, wonderful neighbor and was a faithful care giver to his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Sweatt of Pittsfield; grandchildren, Stephanie Sweatt and Collin Sweatt, both of Farragut, Tennessee; brother, Spencer Sweatt and wife Connie of Fort Myers, Florida; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a loving son, Stacey Sweatt.
A time of committal will be held in the spring at the Village Cemetery, Peltoma Avenue, Pittsfield, where he will be laid to rest beside his son, Stacey.
