HAZELTON PIONEER DEAD

Mrs. M. Conley Expired in Chesaning Friday

The Chesaning News says:

Death called Mrs. Michael Conley Friday morning at 7 o'clock at her home on the east side, aged 83 years, 5 months, and 24 days.

Mary King was born in County Longford, Ireland, December 22, 1828, and left the old country for New York when a young lady. In 1848 she was united in marriage to Michael Conley, who came to this country two years previously, and later the young couple moved to a farm in Hazelton where they resided 56 years before coming to Chesaning five years ago. For a number of years she has been a sufferer from rheumatism and last week her condition became so much worse as to cause the family considerable apprehension. Her condition became gradually worse until the end this morning, the immediate cause of which was senility and heart trouble.

Deceased was the mother of eleven children of whom one son, John, died in April. Those who survive her are the aged husband, Michael, five sons and five daughters, viz., Bernard of Detroit; James and Fred of Hazelton; Michael of Owosso; Jos. A., of this place; Mrs. J.M. Mandeville of Detroit; Mrs. Fred Brundage of Muskegon; Mrs. Kernie Fitzpatrick of Easton; Mrs. John Ward of Hazelton and Elizabeth, who resides at home.

The funeral will be held at St. Roberts Catholic Church, which she had attended for so many years, in Hazelton, at 11 o'clock Monday morning and interment will be made in St. Robert's Cemetery near Flushing.
