Carolyn F. Mullins

Carolyn F. Mullins, 64, went to be with the Lord July 19, 1995. Born May 12, 1931 in Amelia, NE, she was a Puyallup resident since 1959. She graduated from Seattle Pacific College in 1963 and received her B.A. in Education and also continued other studies there. Carolyn was a primary school teacher in the Puyallup school district where she taught at Hilltop Elementary for 5 years and taught 2nd grade at Maple Wood Elementary for 25 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Sumner Assembly of God Church and was the Sunday School Superintendent for 15 years. She devoted her life to her family, and especially to her grandchildren. Survived by husband, Neil of the home; daughter, LeAnn (Rick) Hurst, Kirkland; mother, Iva Barthel, Burwell, NE; sisters, Phyllis Keller, Sandy, OR, Shirley Lytle, Burwell, NE, Virginia Phillips, Kent; brothers, Stanley Barthel, Victor, ID, Eugene Barthel, Tucson, AZ, Rodney Barthel, Willington, OH; grandchildren, Ashley and Michael. Reposing at Powers Sumner-Voiles Funeral Home, 15124 Main St., Sun., July 23, 12-6 p.m. Funeral services Mon., July 24, 1995, 1 p.m. at the Sumner Assembly of God Church. Interment in Sumner Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sumner Assembly of God Missions Fund. Arrangements by Powers Sumner-Voiles Funeral Home. 863-6332.
