Mrs. Maria Inez Alfaro, 85, of Navasota passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at her home.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Nobles Funeral Chapel followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota with rite of committal immediately following in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Elias Lopez will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Maria was born August 29, 1932 in Mercedes, Texas to Anceimo and Manuela (Lopez) Mata. She married Faustino Alfaro and together they had six sons.

She is survived by her loving husband, Faustino Alfaro; sons and daughters-in-law, Jose and Isabel Alfaro, Lupe and Dalia Alfaro, Juan and Rosemary Alfaro, Raul and Gloria Alfaro, Augustine and Rosalinda Alfaro and Oscar and Olga Alfaro; sisters and brothers-in-law, Herminia Ramirez, Emilia Mirelez and husband, Fransisco; brothers, Hilberto and Ricardo Mata; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Jessie Valadez III, Juan Alfaro, Jr., Agustin Alfaro, Jr., Alberto Alfaro, Esteban Alfaro and Agustin Morales, Jr.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Manuel Mata; and sister, Lupe Balboa.
