Marjorie, 79, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family following a long illness. Marjorie was born to Duane and Myrtle (Baldwin) Wilbur.

She attended Battle Creek Schools. On July 2, 1955 she married Bernard M. Ferris in Ceresco. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2014.

Marjorie worked for Post Cereal Company in Battle Creek for 23 years. She retired in 1993. She was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. She enjoyed bowling in different leagues in Marshall and Battle Creek. Marjorie also enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, and reading many different books. She loved word searches, traveling, and going on adventures. Marjorie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Ferris, Dean (Teresa) Ferris, Diane (Mike) Herr, Judy (Tom) Carr, Duane (Joyce) Ferris all of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grand children; siblings, Earl Wilbur of Fine Lake, Alice Chapin of Battle Creek, and Elsie Rack of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Doris Mann Nancy Dunn, Dick Wilbur.

Funeral was on Saturday, April 7, 2018, with Reverend James Codde officiating. Interment followed at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family gathered with friends following the committal services at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services Marshall Chapel Reception Hall.
