Sylvester W. Fels, 72, of Maribel, died Tuesday evening, December 2, 1986 at a Green Bay Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside. Rev. Donald Stein will officiate and burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Maribel.
Mr. Fels was born September 19, 1914 in the Town of Morrison, son of the late William and Meta Nohr Fels. He married the former Esther Krieser on June 19, 1936. She preceded him in death on June 12, 1978. He then married Lorina Borchardt Hahn on November 26, 1982. Mr. Fels was a charter member and past president of the Wayside-Morrison Lions Club. He was also a member of the Maribel Sportsmens Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lorina; three sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Carol of Maribel, Gene and Nita of Two Rivers and Dan and Diane of Maribel; a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Myron Pelischek of Maribel; a stepson, Paul Hahn of Rt. 2, Greenleaf; a brother, Roland of Green Bay; two sisters, Myrtle Fischer of Rt. 2, Greenleaf and Doris Krueger of Rt. 1, DePere; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Zellner and a son-in-law, Richard Miller.
Friends may call at Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, after 4 pm Thursday and after 10 am Friday at the church to the time of service.
