POWERS, Jack E. Age 87 of Fairfield, passed away Saturday March 31, 2018 at Birchwood Care Center. He attended Hope Baptist Church of Fairfield, Ohio. His work, until retirement, included a machinist at G.E. of Evendale Plant, maintenance engineer in Fairfield and Furniture Fair in Fairfield. Mr. Powers was born on March 25, 1931 in Artemis, KY to the late Charles and Martha Powers of Miamisburg, OH. He was married on June 18, 1970 to Joyce Powers who survives him. Mr. Powers is survived by his wife Joyce; children Jack Jr. (Sue) Powers, Bert (Sophie) Fugate of TX, Brenda Sams of Hamilton, and Charlie (Charlene) Fugate of Cincinnati; sixteen grandchildren, and thirty-four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter Judy Ann, 3 sisters Lucille Powers, Susie, and Nanny Johnson; 6 brothers Jesse William Powers, Charles Andrew Powers, John Powers, Frank Powers, Clyde Powers and Ples Powers. Visitation will be 5:00 PM-7:00 PM Tuesday April 3, 2018 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4 Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Baptist Church 3200 Woodside Drive, Fairfield, with Pastor Steve Hall officiating. Burial to follow in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
