June 01, 1941 - March 31, 2018


Jerline Dicus, age 76, of Sikeston Mo. passed away at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on, Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Born June 1, 1941 in Alamo Tennessee to the late Hubert and Mary Sanders Hunt.

On June 3, 1956, at Corinth Mississippi, she married Billy C. Dicus who preceded her in death on February 14, 2017.

In her life she had worked on the farm, did factory work for Siegel-Robert Plating Company and was a homemaker for Tri County Pyramid when she retired. She loved to sew and sing even though she’d say she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. She loved her family and friends. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by three daughters and four sons-in-law, Carolyn and David Payne of Puxico, MO, Teresa and Brian Golden of Herrin, IL, Brenda and Corey Hill of Bloomsdale, MO and James Russell Usher of Springfield, MO; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Evelyn and Joe Brewer of Martin, TN and Kathy Marie and John Holland Kyle of Dresden, TN; seven grandchildren, Derik Bland, Jennifer Golden, William Golden, Elizabeth Usher, Timothy Dooley II, Sarah Usher and Billy Dooley; two step grandchildren, Dustin Payne, and Brandon Payne; five great grandchildren, Hayden Dooley, Ellie Golden, Hailey Bland, Derik Bland II and Chloe Bland; and five step great grandchildren, Austin Payne, Samuel Payne, Lewis Payne, Reed Payne, and Eli Payne.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Lynn Usher; two brothers, Hubert Hunt and Herbert Hunt; four sisters, Linda Faye Oguin, Wanda Sue Williams and Delores Jean Hunt; and an unnamed infant.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 6, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 at Ponder Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
