Fannie N. Blythe Bedford, 67, Tompkinsville, died July 23, 2004, at the home of her daughter. She was a retired employee of Kentucky Apparel and a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. Born in Monroe County on June 4, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Romie Lewis and Ada Belle (Odle) Cable. She was first married to Budford Marris Blythe and, following his death, married Benjamin Bedford, also now deceased. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony Wayne Blythe, Gamaliel, and Lewis Marris and Pam Blythe, Chattanooga, Tenn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Lois and Allan Walker, Tompkinsville, and Althea Lynn and David Bray, Gamaliel; a step-daughter, Benetta Jackson, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; two sisters, Nancy Alice Fox, Tompkinsville, and Anna Belle Hume, Louisville; a half-sister, Alberta Walker, Tompkinsville; two half brothers, Claude White and Thomas Cable, both of Indiana; seven grandchildren, Chasity Hammonds, Daniel Blythe, Brandy Taylor, Crystal Walker, Tony Blythe, Wesley Bray and Heather Walker; a step-grandson, Micheal Kilmon; seven great-grandchildren — Zachary, Emily and Preston Hammonds; Christian and Dalton Taylor; Ethan Walker; and Jacob Blake Crews; two step-great-grandchildren, Micheala Kilmon and Atlanta Whitehead; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Roberta Ann Blythe; a half-brother, Clyde White; and a half-sister, Lucille Ashlock, all preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on July 25 at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with Bro. Esmond Bartley officiating. Burial was at the Old Mt. Herman Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Tony and Daniel Blythe, Wesley Taylor Bray, Terry Tooley, Shortie Walker, Roger Fox and Harold Jones. The family requests that memorials take the form of donations to T.J. Samson Hospice.
