Paul Frederic Hadsell

PHELPS - Paul Frederic Hadsell, 85, of 29 Banta St., formerly of 99 Lewis St. Apt. 502, in Geneva, died quietly at home Friday, April 29, 2005.
A family service is going to be held at their convenience.
It is suggested that memorial donations be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva 14456; or to the Phelps Ambulance Inc., 7 Exchange St., Phelps 14532.
Paul was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Vine Valley, the son of Fred and Hazel Parmelee Hadsell. On Nov. 18, 1939, he married Evelyn Belcraft. He served in the Navy with the 143rd Seabees in the South Pacific during World War II.
Paul worked as a machinist and later joined the carpenters Local 1508 in Lyons. He became a well-known finish carpenter and cabinet maker in the Waterloo-Geneva area.
Paul was a life member of the VFW post 2670 and a member of the Phelps American Legion Post 457 and the Geneva Masonic Lodge 965. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends.
Paul is survived by one son, Paul F. (Anne) Hadsell of Phelps; a granddaughter, Renee Mobley of Phelps; a sister, Blanche Brown of Batavia; a brother, Gerald (Diane) Ellis of Newark; a niece, Bonnie Hall of Batavia; two nephews, Ronald (Barbara) Brown of Lady Lakes, Fla. and Richard (Betty) Brown of Wildwood, Fla.; many great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; and very dear friend Theodore Mullen of Phelps.
Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Evelyn Hadsell; his brother, Alden Hadsell and very dear friend and sister in the battle against cancer, Mary Jane Mullen.
