Betsy was born in Unadilla, Georgia on December 12th, 1917, to the late Barnie Boss Barker and Lessie Carrell Barker. She lived a full and loving life of nearly 100 years. She graduated from A.L. Miller High School in Macon. She was the widow of Kenneth Alexander McCaskill, II, to whom she was married 67 years, and is survived by her three children, Carrell (Bob) Cranswick, Kenneth McCaskill, III, and Charles (Susan) McCaskill; six grandchildren, Chad (Allison) McCaskill, Brooke (Bob) Hester, Jennifer McCaskill, Betsy (Robert) Berry, Katharine McCaskill, and Kenneth Alexander McCaskill, IV; and 7 great-grandchildren, Isabelle McCaskill, Boss McCaskill, Emma Kate Perry, Alice Perry, Josephine Hester, Susan Hester, and Barker Berry and another baby Berry on the way. Family meant everything to her and she devoted her life to being the best wife, mother, and grandmother she could be.

Betsy believed in volunteerism and was instrumental in establishing the Girl Scouts in Athens, Georgia, was a devoted pink lady for many years at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, and delivered Meals on Wheels with her husband in Macon, just to mention a few. She loved sports and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. She never met a stranger and warmed everyone she touched with her infectious smile. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and Bingo. She was known for her fried chicken and was the best cook around.

Betsy will be missed by so many. She left this world a better place and was a role model for all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
