Anna Marie Shirley of Route 2, Box 169, Three Oaks passed away at Shoreham Terrace Nursing Home at 7:45 A.M. Dec. 17, 1983.
Mrs. Shirley was born January 2, 1895 in Wakarusa, Indiana the daughter of Lou and Ada Swank Grose. She was 88 years old at the time of her death.
Mrs. Shirley is survived by one daughter, Hazel Jean LaVanway of Coloma and one son, Kenneth Shirley of Three Oaks, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son Lawrence passed away in 1974.
Other survivors include three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Leatha Humphrey, Three Oaks; Mrs. Lucille Null, Berrien Springs; Mrs. Beulah Null, Osceola, Ind.; Jess Grose and Claude Grose, both of Osceola and Victor Grose of Elkhart.
She had lived in the area for the last 58 years.
Graveside services were held at New Troy Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, Dec. 21 with Rev. Jay Karow officiating.
