Orangeburg - Mrs. Katharyn Folk Hughes, 83, of 2373 Charleston Road died Tuesday. Born in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Lillian Autrey Sandifer Folk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Betty Tennet of Winter Garden, Fla., and Mrs. Louise Evans of Orangeburg; and sisters, Mrs. Ruth Padgett of Bamberg and Mrs. Grace Creech of Chapin.
