Elizabeth and her brother John Hoppes are both age 22 and living with their parents in 1850; therefore, I give her the same birth date as is on her brother John's death certificate.

In the 1860 census, Elizabeth at age 29 is with her aunt Mrs. Jacob (Elizabeth Klees) Nevel in Plunkett's Creek Twp.

In the 1870 census., Elizabeth at age 40 is a housekeeper for John Barber (#15-15, Plunkett's Creek Twp) and in 1880 at age 45 is still a housekeeper for John Barber (#16-16, Plunkett's Creek Twp.).

According to her marriage license, Elizabeth was age 50 in December 1888 when she married.
