Lonnie Ray Meeks, 90, of Norman Arkansas went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 28, 2018. He was born January 31, 1938 in Norman, Arkansas to Lee Monroe Meeks and Fannie Ellen Greene Meeks, as the second of seven children.

Lonnie served in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran. He was a skilled mechanic, carpenter and independent contractor. However, his passion was music and he loved to play with his friends. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family and they loved him in return.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Erbie Meeks, Jack Meeks and Harley Meeks; and his daughters, Crystal Nieto and Cindy Suit.

Survivors: wife of thirty-five years, Nancy Meeks; brother, Joe Meeks; sisters, Arlene Foshee and Ruby King; son, Randy Meeks (Susan); son, Bob Freeman (Becky); daughter, Teri Lee; son, David Lucero; son, Curtis Clark; daughter, Lisa Williams; daughter, Donna Clark; and son, Richard Fountain (Donna); plus many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; other family and friends who loved him.

A graveside service will be held at McKinney Cemetery in Story, Arkansas at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Services will be officiated by long-time friend, Bud Wilburn.
