Services for Ronald Gately Bethea will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Bethea, 70, died Monday, March 27, 2018 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Born in Florence, SC, November 1, 1947, he was the son of the late Thad C. Bethea and Sophia Jackson Bethea.

He was a Logger.

Survivors include his wife, Jennie Webster Bethea of Hamer; daughter, Micindy Bethea of Hamer; son, Ronald "Heath" Bethea (Misty) of Hamer; grandchildren, Jonathon "Gately" Bethea, and Ragan Bethea; sisters, Joyce Kinlaw (Frankie) of Rowland, NC, and Jackie Thompson of Hamer; mother-in-law, Doris Webster of Dillon; sisters-in-law, Melissa Doughtery (Lee) of Florence, and Kay Kruger (Mike) of Baltimore, MD.

Mr. Bethea was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sister, David Bethea, Bobby Bethea, Billy Bethea, Sarah Arnette and Bennett Bethea.
