David B. Turner

BICKNELL -- David B. Turner, 56, 623 Indiana St., Bicknell, died at 12:15 a.m. today at the Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was born Aug. 28, 1938, in South Bend, the son of Jesse and Bertha (Bahney) Turner.

He moved to Bicknell in 1991 and had been employed by North American Van Lines and as a hospital cook. Turner was affiliated with the Bicknell Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet Parker whom he married Aug. 6, 1971; three daughters, Robin Neil of Bicknell, Nancy Smith of Elkhart, and Lisa Vargas of Goshen; stepdaughter, Cheryl Steele of Hobart; stepson, Wayne Parker of Hobart; two sisters, Ilene Sawyer of Bicknell, and Carol Benson of Mishawaka; a brother, Robert Turner of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McClure Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Crouch officiating.

Burial will be in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
