Kenneth is the son of Doyle Marshall and Effie Leota (Thompson) Foland. He graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1959 and later graduated from Chadron State College.
Ken entered the United States Air Force in 1966 and was Honorably Discharged as a Captian after being stationed in Minot, ND.
He moved back to Sidney in 197 to work with his father at Foland Farm Machinery.
On June 6-1965 Ken married Fereda Mae Robinson in Sidney.
Ken was active in the American Legion , the Frank Welch Masonic Lodge #75, the Sidney Elks Lodge, the Platte Valley Tractor Pullers Association, was Charter Member of the National Antique Tractor Pullers Association and the Ft. Sidney Flyers.
