Mrs. Roy Hammond, 35, Passes Away in Arkansas

Word was received here this morning of the passing on of Mrs. Roy Hammond on Sunday morning, March 14, 1943 at the hospital in Conway, Arkansas, to where she had been taken when she became suddenly ill that morning. The family home is near Wooster, Ark., to where the family had recently moved.

Funeral services were held last Tuesday and interment was made in the Bethlehem Baptist cemetery at Shady Grove in Fulkner county, Arkansas.

The deceased was born as Mabel Ruth Bray, daughter of John L. and Ruth (Dundee) Bray, in Post township, on July 11, 1907. She was united in marriage with Roy Hammond on April 23, 1927, and to them were born five children, Marian Helene, 15; Marvin Dean, 13; Milo Eugene, 10; Merle Wayne, 8; and Milton Duane, 3, who together with Mr. Hammond survive.

Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. John L. Bray, living four miles north of Postville, and several brothers and sisters in this community.
