Annie M. Keoughan aka "Koughan" (per gravestone) was an adopted daughter of John and Grace Frost. She was subsequently adopted by John and Sarah Jane Frost Keoughan (her adopted sister). In 1891 her family was living near West Point in Lot 8 of P.E.I.'s Prince County. John was working as a fisherman. The Canada census of April 13 1891 shows the enumerated residents and their declared ages were John (49), Sarah Jane (34) and six children: Annie (14), Mary (10), Willie (8), Katie (6), Nora (4) and John (1). John (Sr) declared he was born in New Brunswick of parents born in Ireland. Sarah was born in P.E.I. of parents born in England. Annie and her father were born in P.E.I.
Note: Keoughan was often spelled a few different ways, Koughan being the most common variation.
