Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, December 1986

Services were held at Blue Springs Thursday, Dec. 18, for Daryl C. Winget, 71, and his wife, Marjorie B. Winget, 58, who died in a traffic accident near Stringtown, Okla., on Sunday afternoon. They were married Aug. 11, 1957.

Mr. Winget was born Sept. 2, 1915, in Moniteau County. After age 15 he lived with his grandfather, Charles Goodman at Barnett where he graduated from high school in 1933. He had lived in Blue Springs since 1956 and had worked in the inspection department of Trans World Airlines, Inc. for more than 40 years before he retired.

Mrs. Winet was born Dec. 30, 1927 and was a lifelong resident of the Blue Springs area where she graduated from high school. She worked for the Blue Springs Bank for several years.

Survivors of Mr. Winget are two brothers, Howard Winget of
Springfield and Perrian Winget of Jefferson City; two sisters, Myrtle Ayres of Eldon and Alma Winget of Los Angeles, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Survivors of Mrs. Winget are three brothers, Leslie Myres of
Blue Springs, Lawrence Myres of Oak Grove, and Bob Myres of Kansas City; four sisters, Sue Bolling of Lawson, Mo., Dorothy Gatewood of Blue Springs, Naomi Moore of Grain Valley and Carol Osterberger of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held at the First Christian Church in Blue Springs where memorial contributions can be made to the Winget Memorial Fund.
