He probably never had a marker, until recently. The P.H. Sheridan Camp #2, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, in conjunction with the the Board of Directors of Oakwood Cemetery, conducted research of Civil War Veterans. The result was they were able to obtain a new Headstone from the Department of Veterans Affairs, which was set on April 28, 2018 with assistance from the Joliet Central JROTC students.
