A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, in the family plot in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesville, with the Rev. Dr. Jack A. Bishop, pastor of First Baptist Church of Waynesville presiding.
She was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee and Addie Winchester Anderson and was born in Hayesville. She lived most of her adult life in Raleigh and Greensboro, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro and retired from the Guilford County School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Parker Taylor; two sisters, Alwayne Anderson Knight of Knightdale and Norine Anderson Bova of Asheboro; two brothers, Wilbur Guy Anderson of Wendell and Harold Edgar Anderson of Hayesville.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonita Taylor Alexander and Deborah Karan Taylor, both of Greensboro; a granddaughter, Casey Nicole Grimaldi of Charlotte; a grandson, John Christopher Grimaldi of Raleigh; a sister, Kathleen A. Allison; a brother, Winton H. "Andy" Anderson, both of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the N.C. Baptist Retirement Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 11024, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27611-1024.
