AMORY - Evelyn Holloway Nairmore, 87, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in Amory after a long illness. She was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Hatley to the late James Elbert and Rosie Stalnaker Holloway. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe County and lived many years in Amory. She was a member of the Amory Church of Christ and a retired employee of the Amory Garment Company. She married James Fred Nairmore in 1936; he died in 1992. She enjoyed vegetable gardening.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Philip Hathcock officiating. Burial will be in Haughton Memorial Park in Amory.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Lois Dan Holloway, James Holloway, Bill Holloway, Woodrow Holloway and Rex Holloway; and two sisters, Rebecca Williams and Syble Ritter.

Pallbearers will be members of the Amory Church of Christ.

Visitation will continue until service time today.
