Edith was a secretary at Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Phillipsburg, NJ, for over 21 years, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed playing bridge at Meuser Park and attending both the Senior Circle at Easton Hospital and Sunny Seniors in Phillipsburg, NJ.
Edith is survived by one son from Phillipsburg, NJ; two daughters from Virginia; and granddaughter, Seira Bobbitt. She was predeceased by her husband, James R. Bobbitt Sr.
Edith specified the following: If you are reading this, it means I am with the Lord. Thank you to Margaret Mizerek for always being a good friend; thank you Robin Mirayes for all the love and care you gave me the last 20 years; Aubrey, you have been like a granddaughter to me, thank you for all your love; to my friends Evelyn and Russel from Lopatcong Care Center, I love you both; and for all of my other friends, thank you for our games and chats. Please don't be sad, I will be watching down on you.
Edith will be laid to rest on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, VA.
