Edith L. Bobbitt, 91, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Lopatcong Center in Lopatcong Township, NJ. Edith was born in Lynchburg, VA, on Feb. 14, 1927, to the late John A. and Verna Colman Layne.
Edith was a secretary at Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Phillipsburg, NJ, for over 21 years, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed playing bridge at Meuser Park and attending both the Senior Circle at Easton Hospital and Sunny Seniors in Phillipsburg, NJ.
Edith is survived by one son from Phillipsburg, NJ; two daughters from Virginia; and granddaughter, Seira Bobbitt. She was predeceased by her husband, James R. Bobbitt Sr.
