Jaunell “Nell” Harrell Deariso, 80, of Moultrie died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee.

Born April 1, 1937 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Henry Porter Harrell and Flora Mae Rooks Harrell.

Mrs. Deariso graduated from Moultrie High School in 1954 and then Grady Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She worked in many places including Newfoundland, Japan, Virginia, Louisiana, Arizona, Colorado and Moultrie; while traveling with her husband who was an Air Force officer. She retired from the Colquitt County Health Department in 1999.

Nell loved the outdoors, especially fishing off shore, inshore and fresh water and was always ready to go. She was completely dedicated to her family with a special place in her heart for her granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Dyke and Lois Graham; brother David Harrell.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Edward Hope Deariso of Moultrie; sons, Edward H. Deariso II of Byron, John H. Deariso and Donna of Moultrie, Michael L. Deariso of Tallahassee FL.; grandchildren, Tori Deariso, Amy Deariso and Christie Deariso and Jake Sherman; brothers, Henry P. Harrell Jr. of Clewiston FL, Clyde Harrell of Moultrie.
