Edward Allen “Junior” Day Jr.,62, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Midtown Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home 4048 Macon Road Columbus, Georgia 31907 Wednesday, March 21, 2018 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST. The interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery.

Junior was born October 1, 1955. He was a member of Summerville Baptist Church where he was in the Joyful Learners Sunday school class. Junior was a huge Elvis fan and a dedicated Christian.

He is preceded in death by his mother Annie Dryer, brothers Wayne Stanley and Timmy DeVerger.

Junior is survived by two sisters Jeanice Messick and husband Jerry of Greenville, South Carolina, Glenda NeSmith and husband David of Columbus, Georgia, Numerous Cousins, nieces and nephews.

His family would like to say a special thank you to The Pate family of Columbus, Georgia for the unselfish care and love they gave to Junior over the years.

Junior was truly a gift from God, He had a pure heart and loved everyone and will be forever missed.
