Son of Frank and Victoria (Svoboda) born on the family farm, 2 miles west and 1 mile north of Prague, Ne., Grand Parents, Matej and Katherine. They were both born in Osek, near Podenbrady, Cz. They were both buried on the original farm they homesteaded 2 and 1/2 miles of Prague.
John grew up on the farm that his parents moved to along with his brothers and sisters. He stayed on the family farm, he enjoyed raising pigs along with farming. He wed Francis Novak in 26 Oct 1909 in Wahoo, Ne.
From this union they had 4 children: Lillian (Novotny), John H., Henry J., and Agnes (Vyhidal).
Francis deceased in 11 Oct 1944. Francis's sister Antonia (Tony) lived with them to take care of her sister during her illness.
John retired from the farm in 1950, he married Tony and they moved to Wahoo, Ne.
