David Byron Borg
Dave passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was the fifth child of Jonas Berger Borg and Virginia Adelia Jenkins and served an LDS mission to the North Central States. Upon his return, he attended Ricks College where he met Regina. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 16, 1971. After graduating from Boise State University, they made their home in Ammon and were blessed with two children.

He worked at BMC West lumber until his retirement. Often, he would supplement the family income with carpet-laying jobs, a trade his father taught him at a young age.

Dave was a devoted member of the LDS faith, diligently serving wherever called. He enjoyed serving as a temple ordinance worker the last years of his life. He loved hunting, fishing, and a good western movie. The Borg family cabin at Palisades was a favorite spot to vacation and host scout outings. He took great pride in his grandchildren, babysitting them and attending their sports and school activities. Dave found love again and was sealed to LaVona Young in Idaho Falls Temple on August 12, 2011.

Survivors beside LaVona included: children David William (Brittany) Borg of Spokane, WA, and Christina Marie "Tina" (Heath) Watson of Shelley; and brothers Thomas (Sandra) Borg of Ammon, Joseph Borg of Idaho Falls, Robert (Vicki) Borg of Meridian, and Steven (Lucinda) Borg of Idaho Falls. Preceding were his sister Jeaniene Empey, brother-in-law Paul Empey, nephew Kevin Empey, and niece Melissa Glenn Phelps.

Funeral Services held at Ammon LDS 3rd Ward at 2150 Avocet. Bishop Rob Johnston officiated.
