BARTHOLOMEW RITES FRIDAY
Funeral services for Elmer Bartholomew were held Friday afternoon at the McLaughlin Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Ed Elmer, son of Henry and Cora Bartholomew, was born near Bynumville on Aug. 8, 1913 and died Sept. 17, 1958. He was married to Doris Jewell Levell on Dec. 13, 1941. To this union two children were born.
Surviving are his wife and children, Neil Wade and Jeanne Ann, all of the home; four brothers, Claud, Vern and Glenn Bartholomew, all of Bynumville, and Wayne Bartholomew of Mendon; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Case of Bynumville, and Mrs. Hazel Fox of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother, two sisters and an older brother. Mr. Bartholomew taught school at Smith Center School and at White Oak School. The rest of his life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Mt. Zion E.U.B. Church of Bynumville.
