Mrs. Tissen was born in Germany Feb. 15, 1879, daughter of the late Charles and Anne Liptak Colesar. She came to the United States at 7 years of age and settled in Streator, Ill.
She was married to Herman Tissen in 1898. He died in Peru, Ill. in 1918.
Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Moran, with whom she had been making her home, two sons, Walter and Albin Tissen, both of Santa Barbara; a sister, Mrs. William Vanderbok, LaGrange, Ill., five grand-children and nine great-grand-children.
Recitation of the rosary will be tonight at 8 in the Welch-Ryce Associates chapel, Sola at State. Requiem mass will be offered at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, of which she was a member. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
