HARRY W. BURROWS
AGE 91 YEARS
UNITED STATES NAVY VETERAN OF WW II

Harry W. Burrows, of Allenwood, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport. He was a son of the late Harry and Winifred (Bobb) Burrows. On June 28, 1952 he married the former Gloria Dantonio, who survives. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Harry served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Idaho during World War II. Following his time in the service, he worked for many years at Trailways, as a bus driver. Harry also worked for over 50 years at the former Cronrath Funeral Home, now Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, Watsontown, assisting in all aspects of the funeral profession.
He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Elimsport.

Harry was an accomplished hunter and fisherman. He was very active in his younger years, participating in several baseball and softball leagues, and also enjoyed bowling, which at age 75, he accomplished a perfect score of 300. Harry was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and was grateful to see the Eagles win the Super Bowl.
He was also a member of the Muncy Masonic Lodge #299, F & AM.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Rebecca Burrows and one daughter, Vicki Burrows, all of Allenwood; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Albert Burrows, of Ecuador, and John and Jenadelle Burrows, of Watsontown; three grandchildren, Shannon Shorter, Kristin Winter and Jason Burrows; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six siblings
