Marian "MaryAnn" Abbott, age 89, a loving mother and friend, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She retired from Stouffers Dublin Hotel, where she was the only banquet server to receive the Vernon Stouffer Inspirational Award. Mom was nominated for Catholic Woman of the Year through the Columbus Catholic Diocese multiple times. Not one person ever left her home hungry, she fed everyone. Maryann was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck, son, Matty and four grandsons. She is survived by her loving children, Melody (Dan), Mike (Karen), Julie (George), John (Kathy), Pat (Berta) and Kitty (Jeff). 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Family would like to mention a special thanks to Dr. Mark Ricuarte and the staff at Mt Carmel West Hospital for their wonderful care and love. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Sunday 2-5 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 1030 AM, at St Aloysius Catholic Church, 2165 W. Broad St. Father Patrick Toner, Celebrant. Interment St Joseph Cemetery. May our precious Lord hold her in his loving arms.
