Bessie D. Barnes, 102, a 43 year resident of Millersville and formerly of Glen Burnie died on December 30, 2017 at Harbor Hospital.
She was born on July 16, 1915 in Baltimore, MD to the late Joseph and Lessie Boteler. Bessie graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1938.
Mrs. Barnes was a member of the former church known as Luthern Church of Our Redeemer where she was part of WELCA.
Her hobbies included crocheting and going to dances with family members. She also really enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Melvin Barnes, and 10 siblings.
