My father Homer Garrison served in the Army from 7 Apr 1941 until 4 Oct 1945. He was a staff sergeant with the Medical Corps and served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. After returning home, he went to Missouri to marry my mother on October 26, 1945. They were married 69.5 years when she died.
