Johnnie C. Smith of Bybee passed away after a battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, March, 15, 2018. Born January 21, 1931, he was 87. He was a member of Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Nannie B. Smith, father John Smith, brother Alfred “Pickle” Smith, sisters, Charlise Fox and Irene Young, daughter Brenda Sue Smith, grandson Wesley Brad Dawson, and granddaugther Sonya Gail Busler. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ethel Lena Smith, son Jeffrey Carroll Smith, daughters, Donna (Jay) Fowler, Deloris (Melvin) Busler, Judy (Terry) Dawson, and Barbara (Scotty) Lane, brothers, Winford Smith and Harold Smith, sister Polly Fox, grandchildren, Breanna Lane, Wayne (Olivia) Busler, Amanda (Keith) Thacker, and Travis (Katrina) Dawson, and great-grandchildren, twins Ben and Abby Lewis, Jacob Nease, Stacie Howard, and Madelyn Busler. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, Saturday at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
